The body is medium heavy.
The flavour is a complex but totally balanced. It’s a smorgasbord of flavours. Merlot wine, blackcurrant, berries and dark fruits like plum, dates and then apple, blood orange and citrus all held together with 70% chocolate and caramel. Even with all this going on there's an underlying sweetness that cushions the whole thing together in the mouth.
The Barichu Farmers Cooperative society works to offer its members access to credit for school fees, farm inputs and emergencies. Its goal is to share information with farmers regarding crop husbandry and other agricultural practices important to coffee. It has a demonstration plot financed by Tropical Farm Management and a nursery that serves the whole community, providing mature seedlings to help reduce drops in production or income for farmers.
This coffee is washed and dried on raised beds.
