This coffee from the Baku Abel village in the Hambela district in Ethiopia. The region is next to Yrgacheffe. This coffee is shade grown at between 1950 and 2000 meters. This is a natural process coffee, meaning it is sun dried in the cherry on raised beds. The beds are raked every couple of hours to ensure an even drying process. Coffees that dry in the cherry tend to be sweeter and have a heavier body. They also tend to be low acid.
This is a honey of a coffee. You can brew it any which way and it will deliver. It’s fruity with a creamy mouth feel when you drink it black and a sweet, well rounded cocoa treat with milk.
